Modderfontein Bowls Club entered two ladies and five men novice bowlers in the 2022 Tower competition. This is the 45th time that the Tournament is being played and is open to all districts. Belgravia and Wanderers Bowling Clubs have generously made their greens available for the competition. All novices are eligible to play – no selection needed. The Championship is played on a knockout basis.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: – 1. Each entrant must have been playing for less than four years. 2. He/She has not won a singles competition of any Bowls Club or District (excluding the winning of the Club Novices Championship). 3. Must be a fully registered member of a Bowls Club affiliated to the respective District 4. There is no age limit FORMAT: – The winner of each match will be determined on the best of 2 sets of 9 ends. In the event of equal sets, a 3-end tiebreaker will be played to determine a winner. Some of the club’s men novices are seen here in action.
